The poem below was penned a few years ago and can be found in my book Thoughts From A Contemplative Beast: The Paradigm Shift For The New Millennium. It is more relevant than ever.

Foxes have holes to hide in,
but the awakened ones must see,
the multitudes of hollow humans
suffering and wandering aimlessly.

Birds of the air have nests
but the compassionate ones
have no such place to rest.
